Women's Health

You do not have to be unwell to appreciate the benefits of Five Element Acupuncture. Even healthy people say they feel more balanced and centered after treatments. Acupuncture can potentially change any pattern of disharmony. In her practice, Jasmine focuses on the following:

  • Supporting a healthy menstrual cycle
  • Achieving a healthy pregnancy though acupuncture, nutritional/herbal advice, and fertility awareness
  • PMS and painful periods
  • Fertility issues
  • Sleep issues and anxiety related to family and parenting stress

Five Element Acupuncture can help you achieve balance in your life. It touches a person deeply on a physical, emotional and spiritual level, treating the whole being, not just symptoms of imbalance. Five element acupuncture utilizes the forces of nature to create change in our energy and harmonize our bodies. Anyone can benefit from this ancient medicine in our modern times.

Five Element acupuncture is based on the ancient Taoist philosophy that the seasons we see in nature also exist within ourselves. These seasons correspond with the Five Elements   Fire (Summer), Earth (Late Summer), Metal (Fall), Water (Winter), Wood (Spring). Illness arises when our energy does not flow freely between these elements, causing symptoms of disease, pain, and imbalance. In the sacred practice of Five Element Acupuncture each person is treated as an individual, with his or her own unique expression of the elements as a guide to treatments. It is a profound and gentle way to create change on a physical, mental, and spiritual level, always treating the root of the imbalance, not just the symptoms of disease.

Pregnancy

If you trust the inherant wisdom of the body you know that the body can not be forced into being pregnant or going into labor. Babies come when they are ready, but we can support the body to be at it’s strongest when the time comes. Jasmine’s approach is gentle and holistic with the long term health of the mother and baby her utmost priority.

Pregnancy is a very special time in a woman’s life. When the body is healthy, it can be an energetic and joyful experience. But if the body is out of balance it can be uncomfortable and stressful. Whether you feel your body is out of balance, or you are really enjoying pregnancy and want to help your body stay in alignment for the upcoming labor acupuncture can help. All treatments are gentle and in consideration of the baby and mother working together.
